Where Is The Serial Number For My Bose In Ear MIE2 Headphones?
IF you are like me, you bought the MIE2 headphones a while back and misplaced the accompanying paperwork. Well now I need the serial number, and have run into two problems.
1. Where is the serial number?
2. Why wont the Bose site let me register?
To address the first problem, a quick search yielded nothing. I started poking around the Bose website and found the product selection page that has a small input field at the very bottom. Next t the input field is a link that will open a small popup window showing where the serial numbers for various devices are located. For the MIE2 and similar in-ear headphones, under the silicone ear tip (mine was under both) you will find a “4-digit date-of-manufacture code”. TADA!
On to the second issue. Registering the product on the bose website prooved to be another issue. Try as I may, it kept telling me that the serial number was invalid. back and forth to the little popup window to make sure i wasn’t missing anything, i noticed that all other serial numbers usually came in a 17 digit format. EUREKA! prepend 13 0′s to the serial number. voila, problem solved. Registration complete.
